PROGNOSTIC CRITERION OF VISUAL ACUITY INCREASING AND DEVIATION DECREASING IN TREATMENT OF DISBINOCULAR AMBLYOPIA IN CHILDREN

To determine connections of the main initial monocular and binocular functions which have influence on the results of treatment — visual acuity increasing and deviation decreasing after applied treatment, 98 children aged 4–8 with disbinocular amblyopia were observed.

The method of multiple logistic regression allowed to define the factors having the greatest influence on the result of treatment: for gradient of vision (Dvis) — threshold of stereoacuity by test Lang «0» and refraction of amblyopic more than 2 dptr, for gradient of deviation (Ddev) — initial deviation and amplitude of fusion by sinoptophore less than 6° and absence of binocular interaction in binocular field by modified Bagolini test. Obtained results will help to conduct individual and different treatment in children with amblyopia and reduce term of observation.
