A significant scientific event of the year was the second International Congress on Gerontological Medicine, which took place at the Odesa State Medical University from November 13 to 16, 2004.An important result of the conference can be considered a number of documents and agreements that were adopted between Odessa State Medical University and Athens University, “International Hippocratic Society of Kos Island”, “Greco-Italian Health Support Forum”, “European Quality Center life”. These documents regulate the activity of the parties and put their cooperation in compliance with the requirements of the European Community of Scientists, which is a necessary link on the way to the integration of Ukrainian medical science into the world scientific community.
