The present communication describes of the synthesis, crystal structure, spectral
data and properties of 3-hydroxymethylpyridinium hexafluorosilicate monohydrate –
a new ammonium hexafluorosilicate, which may find an application as anti-caries
agent. Dental caries remains one of the most common chronic diseases with considerable economic and quality-of-life burdens. The search for new effective anticaries
agents is therefore an urgent task of modern pharmacy. |
