THE ROLE OF COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY IN DIAGNOSIS OF BREAST CANCER RELAPSES

The role of computer tomography (CT) in diagnosis of breast cancer relapses and detection of metastases into regional lymph nodes was determined. 30 women with malignant formations of mammary gland at the age from 43 to 67 years were examined. They were performed an operation as a sector resection or radical mastektomy. The germination of recurrent tumour into a front pectoral wall and metastatic defeat of regional lymphnodes were detected by CT. The obtained results testify that CT is an effective and enough objective method of diagnosis of breast cancer relapses. It allows to reveale their localization and sizes, and a degree of tumour spreading into a front pectoral wall.
