DEPENDANCE OF CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS ON VIRUS BURDEN IN CHILDREN WITH CONGENITAL CYTOMEGALOVIRUS INFECTION

Results of 94 investigated children born from CMV seropositive mothers are represented in the article. The statistically significant differences of mass, length of body, indexes of Apgar scale at the first and fifth minutes of life, laboratory indexes for the children with high viral load (DNA viral load 5000 copies/ml in urine) were obtained compared to similar indexes from groups with low viral load and without viral load. The most influential clinical manifestations of congenital CMV are hepatitis and hepatomegalia.
