The level of anti-Xa-activity of serum, the main indicator of low molecular weight heparin’s effectiveness prevention, increased one day after initiation of thromboprophylaxis in both groups of patients. Postoperative start of thromboprophylaxis with bemiparin reveals high efficacy in reducing the risk of intraoperative bleeding.
