TENSITY AND SAFETY OF ACTIVE ARTIFICIAL IMMUNITY AGAINST DIPHTHERIA IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 1

It is studied the level of postvaccinal antidiphtheric immunity in children and adolescents with diabetes mellitus which were vaccinated and revaccinated according to age. It is found out that diabetes influences the intensity of diphtheria antitoxic immunity, reducing its data regardless on the age of the child. The greatest decrease of antidiphtheric immunity was determined in children who before disease had 1, 2 revaccinations, but since the onset of the disease had not received any vaccinations against diphtheria.
