PECULIARITIES OF COLLAGEN FORMATION IN PLACENTA IN HIV-INFECTION

The peculiarities of collagen expression (of types I, III, IV) were studied in structures of the placental barriers in HIV-infected women with various ways of infection.

Microscopically there were found pathologic dismaturity of placenta, significant hemodynamic disturbances, inflammatory processes in the afterbirth.

Immunohistochemical method was used to establish proved enlargement of optical density of collagens of І, III and IV types in villous chorion of placentae of all the main groups of observation. Optical density of collagens of I and IV types was maximum in the group with non-injective way of infection, which proves the presence of fibrous changes, and collagen of III type had maximum optical density in the group with injective way of infection without treatment, which was connected with dismaturity of villous chorion.

Revealed structural and immunohistochemical changes prove the development of placental insufficiency in majority of cases and significant immunopathological changes which had adverse effect on the newborn child condition.
