CLINICAL EFFICIENCY OF APPLICATION OF MODERN TOOTH BRUSHES OF COMPLICATED SHAPE AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE STATE OF HYGIENE OF ORAL CAVITY AND PERIODONTAL TISSUES AT CHRONIC GENERALIZED CATARRHAL GINGIVITIS OF CHILDREN WHO SUFFER FROM CHRONIC TONSILLITIS

The tooth brush of Oral-B Сlinic Line Pro-Flex was investigated together with the tooth brushes Colgate Total, Aquafresh All Angles Flex Zone, Reach Floss Clean in order to compare their influence on a plaque and gingivitis during six weeks and three months period. After three months of the use of all tooth brushes there was reduction (p<0.001) of indexes of dental deposit and gingivitis as compared to initial values. At examinations both in six weeks and in three months in the group of children, using the tooth brush Oral-B Сlinic Line Pro-Flex, average values of indexes of dental deposit and gingivitis were for certain lower (p<0.01) as compared to three other investigational tooth brushes. There was a reliable (p<0.001) diminishing of size of index of gingivitis only in the group of Oral-B Сlinic Line Pro-Flex at the statistical analysis of changes observed in period from six weeks to three months.
