CLINICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF GENITAL ENDOMETRIOSIS

The article is devoted to clinical and morphological aspects of genital endometriosis. The problem of genital endometriosis is important due to the high prevalence among women of all age groups. The analysis was made of clinical and morphological manifestations of this disease in 39 women of reproductive and perimenopausal age. It was established that adenomyosis predominantly affected women of the pre- and posmenopausal age, and the endometriotic cysts affected women of the reproductive age. Internal endometriosis compared with the external one has a wide range of clinical manifestations. Adenomyosis is often accompanied by concomitant diseases of endo- (glandular hyperplasia and endometrioid carcinoma) and myometrium (leiomyoma and fibromatosis) as compared to ovarian endometriosis.
