COMBINATION THERAPY WITH STATIN AND INHIBITOR ANGIOTENSIN-CONVERTING ENZYME IN PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AND ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION

The aim of the study was to determine an influence of combined therapy with statine and on lipid profile and inflammatory markers in patients with rheumatoid (RA) in combination with arterial hypertension (AH). All patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 included 35 patients with AH and concomitant RA, group 2 — 45 RA without AH. The results showed that the combination of RA with hypertension is associated with higher levels of cardiovascular risk factors. Combined prescription of statin (rosuvastatin) and IACE (ramipril) in the patients with AH and concomitant RA is correlated as with an improvement of lipid profile and with positive changes of proinflammatory markers, due to pleiotropic effects of drugs.
