In the paper the literature review on the latest views about the etiology and pathogenesis of ulcer disease has been done. A full description of the principal etiological factor — helicobacter infection and also its relationship with human organism has been given. The dynamics of stage development of chronic gastritis type B and the role of bacterial mass level of HP-infection in the formation of ulcer process has been represented.
