Cytomegalovirus infection is one of the most important infections in pediatrics. Today congenital cytomegalovirus is a frequent reason of fetal damages leading to general infectious process, birth defects and risk of chronic pathology. Modern data on incidence, clinical symptoms and diagnostic methods of cytomegalovirus infection were analysed in the article.
