KINDLED SEIZURE ACTIVITY UNDER CONDITIONS OF CEREBELLAR TRANSCRANIAL CONSTANT CURRENT STIMULATION UNDER CONDITIONS OF KETAMINE ADMINISTRATION

Transcranial constant current stimulation (TCCS) of brain structures impacts their excitability and inhibits epileptic activity. Investigations of epileptic syndrome pathogenesis under conditions of TCCS permits to identify methods of epilepsy treatment.
Aim of the work was to investigate pentylenetetrazol (PZ)- induced epileptic syndrome manifestations under conditions of TCCS induced with electrodes of different polarity combined with ketamine administration.
Cerebellar ТCCS caused antiseizure influences upon PTZinduced kindled seizures, which are more pronounced in late stage of kindling development. Antiseizure action intensified with ketamine and prevention of generalized seizure fits with hindlimb extension is more pronounced when TCCS is performed with kathode.
